PICTURES FROM LAST POST!!!!

carson and cody on the awards day with their cake pops right after school

this is carson after he won is award for "most yardage gained in science and social studies". it was also career week, so carson was also wearing his "doctor clothes" (we seriously didn't have any doctor stuff) his nametag says DR. CARSON. he thought it was pretty cool.

this is carson with is gold dollar from the tooth fairy.

these are the cake pops i made for carsons class. i ran out of white chocolate, so i had to make 4 that were milk chocolate. they were the best!

here are the white chocolate cake pops. nothing fancy, but the kids sure loved them!! i'm planning to make some more for valentines day for carson to pass out as his valentines!! they are going to be heart shaped!

a lost tooth, an award and cake pops

this post is pretty much all about carson!!! he is in kindergarten this year and he has been having so much fun!! his bottom teeth have been loose forever, and finally, whilst hanging out at our friends' house, his tooth was set free!! (by jonathan) i was so excited, maybe even more than carson himself!! seeing that the tooth was itching to be set free, the tooth fairy and accomplice (and cody) flew herself to the bank and acquired 3 gold dollar coins. (there were 3 loose teeth at the time. we didn't know which one was to be first freed) so, we placed the teeny tiny tooth in a ziplock bag and carson put it under his pillow. low and behold!!! the next morning, there was a very shiny gold dollar under his pillow instead!! how does she do it?!?!?!?! he was so excited, he ran in to wake up jonathan to show him, who, to my surprise, showed just as much enthusiasm!! (good show, hon) anyway, carson keeps calling it his gold quarter even though i've told him endlessly that is is a dollar!! and he keeps moving it around to "special places". it was a very fun time for us!!
on to the next subject, an award!! last week we got a little note home from carson's school saying he would be receiving an award at the school-wide awards assembly today. it didn't say what the award was for but i was so excited!! he was so excited too!! it was also an early out day and i asked his awesome teacher if i could bring a little treat for all the kids in his class. i don't know where everyone stands on the "trophies for everyone, even if you didn't win" heck, i don't even know where i stand, but at 5 or 6 you just don't understand the concept yet. so i felt bad. the note said that not everyone was getting awards. sooooo...she said it was ok for me to bring something at the end of the school day, which was at 12 (early out). they were a hit!! what i made were the very famous, bakerella cake pops!! holy cow!! so delicious!! so easy to make!! i will be making these until the end of time!!!! i made them bigger than she typically does, i didn't want a ton leftover, i am trying to watch my hourglass, you know. they were just plain white chocolate covered with nothing fancy. then i individually wrapped them and stuck a little tag on them that said "YUM". the kids thought that was so funny and were excited that they could read it!! cody had been trying to sneak into the kitchen to steal, yes steal, any and all cake pops he could. he would've succeeded too if i hadn't had a watchful eye!! carson's award was for "the most yardage gained in social studies and science" a very deserving award, i might add. all in all it's been a terrific week so far!!
*no pictures. it won't let me upload them!!! aaahhh!! pictures to come, i guess.
